Barbara Kafka, Chair

Barbara Kafka, Chair, is a retired World Bank senior executive who served in a range of positions which involved her in the economic and social development of countries across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.  She is a member of the management committee and project adviser at the Partnership for Transparency Fund, a nonprofit organization supporting civil society led approaches to enhance transparency and the rule of law and reduce corruption in developing and emerging countries. In 2011-2016, Barbara was a member of the Board of Directors of Thrive Networks, a California based nonprofit dedicated to improving the well-being of underserved communities in Asia through supporting education, and water sanitation and hygiene development. Barbara is graduate of Duke University (BA in Economics) and the Sloan School of MIT (MBA).
