Silvana Rueda

Position: Assistant Director, Scholars Program

Silvana Rueda brings over ten years of direct service, youth development, and young adult education to her role. Committed to ensuring that all students have access to higher education, Silvana has spent the last seven years working in college access, success, and educational programs in the Washington DC area. Prior to joining New Futures, she developed and managed a college- and career-readiness after-school program for low-income high school students through the Latin American Youth Center, and provided intensive case management and mentoring support to teen parents in college through her work as a Program Coordinator for Generation Hope. Silvana graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Sociology, is an AmeriCorps alumna, and can often be found making green smoothies in her kitchen.
