Suzanne Armstrong

Position: Development & Communications Director

Suzanne Armstrong is the Director of Development and Communications at New Futures.  She has nearly 15 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and project management for Washington, DC nonprofits.  Suzanne spent nearly nine years at the Washington Jesuit Academy, an independent school for the District’s brightest and most under-served pre-adolescent boys.  In her roles there, she helped to raise over $4 million annually while managing a variety of development functions from individual giving and grant writing and to strategic communications and media relations.  Prior to her time at WJA, Suzanne earned her B.A. in International Relations from American University, where she also worked for several years upon graduation to coordinate training opportunities for practitioners and professionals in the fields of international development, peace and conflict resolution, and disaster relief.  Ever passionate about serving vulnerable children and young adults, Suzanne has served on the Board of Directors at the Greater DC Diaper Bank, a regional leader in improving the lives of and outcomes for at-risk families.  She lives in Maryland with her husband and two young children.
