Katie serves as a Scholars Program Advisor and directly supports Scholars through academic and career advising. She is passionate about partnering with students to pursue their personal and professional goals. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Katie taught at the middle and high school level. She was a founding faculty member of Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep where she helped foster a culture of high expectations paired with individualized support. Most recently, Katie helped manage an undergraduate service-learning program at San Diego State University. Having grown up in southeastern Virginia, Katie is pleased to return to Virginia.

At New Futures, Katie hopes to build strong relationships with Scholars and accompany them on their educational journey. She is excited to connect students to resources that will help them succeed. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to endless podcasts, and going on hikes. You can find her watching soccer games and reminiscing about playing the beautiful game herself.
