Michael Kershow has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2012 and until recently served as Secretary and a member of the Executive Committee. A graduate of Colgate University and Georgetown University Law Center, he was a partner at the law firm of Collier Shannon Scott (now Kelley Drye & Warren LLP), where he practiced international trade law for 27 years. Since retiring from full-time law practice, he has focused on immigration law, providing pro bono representation to people seeking political asylum in the United States. His interest in New Futures was sparked largely by its history of providing educational opportunities to young immigrants and other underserved youth looking to realize an “American Dream” that is all too often out of reach.
